Sand Tray Therapy
A Creative Approach To Counselling
Alleviate C&P offers a Person-Centred approach to counselling, focusing on relationships, starting with building a relationship of trust between counsellor and client. This approach to counselling can help alleviate emotional distress in many different forms, such as anxiety and depression, as well as working through bereavement, loss or relationship work to name but a few areas.
Sand Tray Therapy is a creative way of working, offering a way to explore topics for those that are struggling to know where to begin or for topics that are traumatic to approach. Whilst not for everyone, the use of symbolism can also uncover subconscious feelings or emotions. Sand Tray Therapy can be incorporated as part of your talking therapy sessions.
Why Choose Alleviate?
The counselling service is provided by Bethan Creighton, a counsellor with over 2,000 hours experience across a wide variety of client needs and 13 years experience working in mental health. This extensive experience is accompanied by an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma and Master's Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Sand Tray Therapy can be a very powerful tool but one that is not used by many counsellors. I also regularly add new additions to my sand tray collection, to ensure a wide range of symbols that we can incorporate in our therapeutic work.
